
Our Coffee
It all starts in Rwanda, where the rich volcanic soils produce some of the world’s finest coffee. Our coffee beans are selected from individual small growers by our partner roasters, who then roast and grind them for us at their craft roastery just a few miles from our distillery.
Moon Roast is a small batch, Specialty Grade Coffee roastery, with a unique heritage in the coffee industry and a passion for the best in hand roasted coffee. Passionate about their craft, their time goes into exploring ethically sourced, seasonally selected Arabica beans from various origins worldwide. Our current batch of coffee comes from the Bumbogo Coffee Washing Station, located in the Gakenke District, Northern region of Rwanda. This district is a world-renowned area when it comes to producing top specialty coffee from Rwanda.
To create Maraba, we cold brew our Speciality Grade coffee beans with alcohol in small batches for 72 hours to gently extract all its wonderful flavours, from light floral to deep chocolate, before turning it into the finished liqueur.
